Field of View Exhibition
I put on an exhibition at Utrecht Centraal, the busiest train station in the Netherlands. It shows the country in full bloom, photographed through a train window between Leiden and Haarlem.
This was the first in a series, where I bring my photographs to places around the world.
Utrecht Centraal: 23.04. & 25.04.2026
Field of View is a site-specific photographic installation for Utrecht Centraal, consisting of ten freestanding structures displaying 40 images, each illuminated to evoke the experience of looking through a train window. The photographs are printed to the exact dimensions of the train's door window and can be arranged in a "carriage" formation, echoing the shape of a train while maintaining flexibility for station layout.
Each print is captured along the Haarlem–Leiden route at the moment the tulip fields reached full bloom — even individual petals are visible, despite the train travelling at speed. This route is especially significant, as it represents the first time I approached train-window photography as a focused, dedicated project, marking the beginning of this body of work.
