Beautifully made films for social media
I’m a filmmaker and photographer working with a small number of brands to make films for social media.
I’m particularly interested in businesses that make or do something genuinely brilliant, and finding unexpected ways to tell those stories.
Over the past two years, I’ve grown my own audience from almost zero to more than 110,000 across Instagram and TikTok, largely through developing recurring visual series and short films.
Now I bring that thinking to a small number of clients.
A few things, made really well.
Rather than producing large volumes of content, I focus on finding strong ideas that can grow over time. Usually that means developing one or two recurring series for a brand, alongside occasional standalone films.
I start by looking at what you do, what you've made before, and what is genuinely interesting about your business. Then I find the stories.
What I make
Typically, 3-5 carefully made films each month, with photography for carousels and stories where useful.
I particularly love craft, processes, journeys, people and the small, unexpected details behind how something is made.
I develop the ideas, shoot and edit the work myself, bringing in trusted freelance support when a project needs it.
I only work with one or two ongoing clients at a time.
About
I’ve worked as a filmmaker and photographer for more than a decade, with a background in journalism including writing and shooting for The Guardian.
More recently, I’ve created work with RIMOWA, Canon, Eurostar and Interrail.
Alongside commercial work, I’m an artist. That way of thinking runs through everything I make, and can sometimes take projects beyond the screen, into exhibitions and physical installations.
